Build the brand.
Scale the business.
NRD Management is a Los Angeles brand growth partner for consumer companies. We set the strategy, then we execute it. Positioning, packaging, campaigns, retail expansion, and the operating system underneath.
Most consumer brands do not fail on product.
They fail because the brand, the go to market, and the operating system behind it never caught up to the product. A great formula sits on a shelf nobody reaches for. A strong launch stalls at reorder. Distribution grows faster than margin and the business gets thinner as it gets bigger.
NRD builds all three.
A sequence, not a retainer.
Diagnose
We audit the brand, the unit economics, and the channel. We find where the growth actually leaks before anyone designs anything.
Position
We decide what the brand stands for, who it is for, and which competitor it takes share from. Everything downstream is built off this.
Build
Identity, packaging, messaging, campaign, sell sheets, launch calendar. We produce the assets, not a recommendation to produce them.
Scale
Retail and distribution expansion, velocity management, forecasting, and the systems that keep it running once volume arrives.
Six capabilities. One partner.
Brand strategy
Positioning, brand architecture, naming, identity, and packaging direction that earns a second look on shelf.
Creative and marketing
Campaign development, content, paid media, social, influencer, trade and shopper marketing.
Product launch
Concept to shelf. Pricing and margin architecture, pack and size strategy, sell sheets, launch calendar.
Growth strategy
Unit economics, contribution margin, channel mix, forecasting, and demand planning that holds at volume.
Retail and distribution
Distributor and broker strategy, category review preparation, buyer meetings, planogram, velocity and sell through.
Brand management
Ongoing senior leadership inside your business. We do not hand over a deck and leave.
Engagements, in their own shape.
Client names are held in confidence. What follows is the real shape of the work.
A regional favorite with no reason to travel
Strong repeat sales in one state and flat performance everywhere else. The packaging explained the flavor but never the brand, and the buyer deck led with the founder story instead of the category opportunity.
Repositioned against the incumbent rather than the craft set, and rebuilt the range architecture so the line read as one brand with a clear hero rather than six equal flavors.
New positioning platform, packaging system and front of pack hierarchy, revised price and pack architecture, a category review deck built around velocity, and a distributor targeting plan by region.
The brand went into its next category reviews with a hero product, a defensible price ladder, and a story built for a buyer instead of for the founder.
A launch with everything except a go to market
A finished formula, finished packaging, and no commercial plan. Pricing had been set from cost rather than from the shelf, which left no room for trade spend or distributor margin.
Rebuilt the economics from the shelf price backwards, then set the launch sequence so early distribution proved velocity in a controlled set of doors before any wide expansion.
Margin and pricing architecture, pack and size strategy, sell sheets and trade materials, launch calendar, retailer and distributor target list, and the first ninety day promotional plan.
The brand launched with a price that supports the channel, a controlled door set to prove velocity, and a plan the team could run without us in the room.
